| |
What does “turnkey” mean? |
| |
When we say we offer turnkey projects, we are stating that we are willing to offer you a lump sum cost for the complete project. This means that we cover ALL costs, and that there will not be any hidden costs (back charges) at the end of the project, as may be the case with other companies. This does NOT mean that we will not adjust the terms and contract to satisfy the client to their satisfaction (i.e., the client wants to supply a certain material, etc.). Succinctly put, we like to offer a service which relieves the client of any and all worries/stress/concerns which are always involved within construction.
| |
Does your work include a guarantee? |
| |
All of our projects include a (1) one year guarantee covering labor and materials. We also go to great lengths to educate our clients so that they can compare “apples to apples”.
| |

| |

| |
Do you choose and use subcontractors, and if so, do you seek the lowest bids? |
| |
One thing that is very different regarding our company compared to many others is the fact that Mr. Arnold does not believe that his clients should receive a lesser product due to greed. All of our employees and subs are as loyal to us as we are to them, and that is where the client benefits! Our endeavoring to create an honest and trusting relationship within our company benefits both our company and the client.

We have accomplished projects of all types from complete sets of extremely detailed blueprints down to just listening to the ideas of the client. What is involved/incorporated within “Masonry”?
| |
Masonry dates back thousands of years and is one of the oldest trades in history. Masonry is mostly comprised of brick, stone, and mortar or cement. In present day “masonry” there are many other products that fall within this definition.
| |
What type of Masonry products do you work with?
| |
This list is extremely long. We are a complete turnkey Artistic Masonry company and, therefore, have been privileged enough to have used, and have had, customers who have desired products from all over the globe. We work with every form of brick/block(cmu)/stone/marble/limestone/glassblock/pavers, etc. It is best to ask what we DO NOT work with, rather than to ask what we DO work with.
| |
What type of masonry products are at your disposal? |
| |
Simply put, if you cannot find what you seek, we will. We have many connections within this industry and the array of materials is immense and retrievable.
| |

What type of training , qualifications , and title (degree of knowledge of the trade) do the personnel have regarding Masonry? |
| |
Mr. Arnold is a 1st Class Master Mason. Our crews consist of Master Masons, Masons, and Mason Tenders. Each job will be overseen by Mr. Arnold, who places, at minimum, one to two Master Masons over the job (or more - depending on job size) who handle the installations. The Mason Tenders are qualified workers whose job is to serve the Masons with all materials and labor necessary to aid in the construction.

| |
What type of tile do you install?
| |
We do NOT do marble slab countertops OR cultured marble yet we have associates who we would be more then happy to have contact you. With that said, we install every other type of material as well as pattern.
| |
Do you supply tile/limestone, etc.?
| |
As far as supply, the materials and quality are endless. One of our favorite suppliers is Design Tiles by Zumpano. The array of tile/limestone/marble/slate/etc. is mind boggling. We ask our clients that they go to the showroom and choose samples and then we will help you with your design/layout.
| |
Is there a rough square footage price that you can quote us?
| |
We hear this question many times. Unfortunately, it is impossible to answer, since every job style and material is different. The price range varies for cost of materials. We would rather observe and estimate the scope of the project, and then give firm estimates. We believe this is the fairest way of doing business for all parties involved.

| |
What is the difference between mastic and thin set?
| |
Mastic is a wonderful product which works as a glue. It is used in areas where there is no possibility of water and moisture problems/issues. Thin set is a masonry product which is used in areas where water is an issue (i.e., showers, floors, countertops, etc.) Both products are used to adhere the tile, limestone, marble, etc. to the substrate.

| |
What size concrete jobs do you do?
| |
The sizes of our concrete projects have varied from small to very large. We adjust the crew size to fit the project.
| |
Do you do tear outs as well as replacements?
| |
Yes. One of our specialties is complete tear outs and professional replacement which surpasses code.
| |
What is involved in a tear out?
| |
Whether it is a driveway, parking lot, retaining walls, etc., we start at ground zero and first have the county search for all lines, wiring, etc. When this passes, we accomplish demo with machine and man power, and excavate for proper heights. All materials are hauled off by truck and/or dumpster. All steps are communicated with the client before the job commences. |
| |
What type of concrete do you use?
| |
Although many companies pour at code, we go a step further. We use a 4000 psi (pounds per square inch) commercial strength concrete on all pours. We also add fiber, which strengthens the concrete and, unlike metal wire mesh, does not rust and become useless over the years. We adjust the stone size, as well, if a pump truck is required to pour the concrete.
| |
What types of finishes are you capable of performing?
| |
From coloring to etching to stamping, we DO IT! If a color is desired, we supply the client with a color chart from which to choose. Many people desire concrete etching, which offers a very different, yet attractive, finish to concrete. Stamping is another finished product we offer, which leaves patterns within the concrete, such as a “stone” appearance, etc..
| |
What is your opinion on expansion joints? |
| |
Expansion joints are very important since all concrete does tend to crack. We place all of our joints at 10’ – 12’ increments, which we picture frame (box) in to give a more impressive finished, more structurally sound look.
| |
How long should I wait until I use/drive on my new driveway? |
| |
We ask that our clients give the concrete application five days for the initial setting up to take place and for the concrete to reach a reasonable psi.
